The IDEAL School of Manhattan is an independent, nonprofit school that provides a comprehensive educational program designed to address each student’s unique academic, social, and emotional needs while reinforcing individual strengths, interests, and abilities. The IDEAL School allows every student to experience success by utilizing a curriculum that is language based and multi-sensory; integrated across disciplines; taught in a structured setting with opportunities for self-direction where appropriate; and delivered in different ways to appeal to different types of learning.
Founded in 2005 and now in its fourth year of operation, the IDEAL School includes 70 children in Pre-K through 5th grade. The expansion plan includes adding one class per year with a goal of providing a Pre-Kindergarden through 8th Grade program with total projected enrollment of between 150-200 students by 2013. As part of the overall Strategic Plan the school intends to relocate to a larger facility that can accommodate the planned expansion of existing academic programs.
Jonathan Rose Companies developed a project plan for the school that describes the strategy and process for the site selection and acquisition along with a development scope, budget and schedule. The project plan guides the school through the site selection and acquisition process that meet the mission, curriculum goals and planned growth of the organization. Additional services included assistance with architect selection and feasibility studies of proposed new sites. |
